As an avid fisherman and a dreamer, I’ve always yearned for the perfect fishing gear that could elevate my fishing experience to new heights. Well, I can confidently say that the wait is over, and I am beyond excited to introduce you to the First Kistler BFS rods: The Hunt Series: the ultimate bait finesse rods that have the potential to revolutionize the way you fish.

How It Started

Let’s rewind a bit and talk about how this incredible collaboration between Trey Kistler and myself came to be. It all began when I first fished with one of Kistler’s Helium rods. The performance and quality left me in awe, and I knew there was an opportunity to create something truly exceptional in the world of bait finesse fishing if I could help design a Kistler BFS rod. So I jumped at the opportunity to join forces with Kistler, and together, we embarked on a journey to design the most sensitive and high-performing bait finesse rods ever made.

Design & Development

After months of tireless efforts and rigorous testing, we have created prototypes that have far exceeded my expectations. These rods have become an extension of my fishing arm, compelling me to part ways with my other rods and embrace the superior quality of The Hunt Series. The sensitivity and responsiveness of these Kistler BFS rods are simply unparalleled, allowing me to feel even the faintest nibble and ensuring a more connected and immersive fishing experience.

The Hunt Series will be available in two weight options: the 3X ultralight and the 4X ultralight. The 3X model represents the epitome of traditional bait finesse, capable of handling weights ranging from one and a half grams to ten grams. On the other hand, the 4X model is designed for the ultra finesse angler, allowing for casting below one gram while still accommodating the traditional BFS weights. Versatility is the name of the game, and both models deliver exceptional performance across a wide range of fishing scenarios.

World Class Fishing Rods

These rods are meticulously crafted to meet the highest standards of excellence. The lengths available will include six feet, and six feet six inches in the 4XUL models, and six feet six inches and the highly anticipated seven-foot version in the 3XUL, which I personally believe will be a game changer, particularly for targeting big bass and trout in fast-moving waters. The Hunt Series boasts upgraded components, such as Fuji guides and reel seat, which ensure optimal casting and durability.

But wait, there’s more! As a surreal twist to this incredible journey, I am proud to announce that The Hunt Series will be my very own signature line of rods. Working closely with Kistler, we’ve incorporated my last name into the series, symbolizing our shared passion for fishing and the pursuit of big catches.
